Yesterday we had a visit from Hamish McCallum who came to talk to the school about ANZAC Day and New Zealand’s involvement in World War 1. Today we spent time putting in the crosses of soldiers who died in the war. The 6 big crosses at the front are those of Ex- Waiwera South School students who died in war. We stood behind the crosses and observed 2 minutes silence in remembrance of these soldiers with our flag at half mast. Thank you to Hamish for coming and sharing some of his knowledge with us.
Welcome to Waiwera South Primary School's Middle Room blog! We are 19 enthusiastic, positive learners in years 3, 4 and 5.
