El Gregoe

Today we had a visit from performer El Gregoe. He is a magician and ventriloquist. He performs in a show called “You’ve Got the Power” which is sponsored by Trustpower. El Gregoe performed in the Waiwera South Community Hall and Clinton School also came and watched his performance. He did some awesome tricks including making birds appear and disappear, cutting a child in half and having never ending water. Along with the magic tricks, El Gregoe’s show was about anti-bullying and why this is a terrible thing. He talked about using your WITS which we use at school. WITS stands for Walk away, Ignore, Talk to a teacher/adult and Stay away. He also taught us that it is important to be a HERO at school. This stands for Honesty, Empathy, Respect/resilient and Opportunities. It was awesome to watch El Gregoe perform and to listen to his messages. We have a few keen magicians now! Check out some of the pictures below.
