Today we had Wayne Edgerton an artist come and help us with some observational drawings as this is what our art focus is this term. He demonstrated how to draw a sketch of a bottle with adding shading and hatching.
Then it was our turn to draw. Wayne gave us advice on how to make our drawings better. We learned about composition, which is where things sit on the page.
He told us that mistakes make us better, (not just in our artwork).
Wayne donated a painting of his own to the school and we are very appreciative of his gift. We will have to find somewhere to display this for everyone to see.
We all had a great afternoon and learned a lot!
