Pull Apart Afternoon
Last week at the working bee, there was a big clean out of some cupboards in the school with some old electrical equipment being found. This gave us the idea of having a 'Pull Apart Afternoon'. We invited students to bring along any old electrical items to 'pull apart'. This initiative tied in nicely with our current technology unit. There was lots of banging, smashing and pulling at our afternoon of pulling things apart. The students had a great time and found out how things worked with there being lots of great discussion around how and why things work.

See some photos below of our afternoon:

Getting into the hard drive!

James and James about to get down to business!

So many things to pull apart!

Lots of engagement with the pull apart afternoon.

The girls busy getting things pulled apart!

So many things to break apart!

The keyboard is getting destroyed and a toaster is getting hacked into!

Wow, we have broken into the inside of the printer!

A hammer means serious business!
